I’m ignoring the riots on purpose.

It was a rough day around the White Rock Kitchens estate. I am just now, late in the evening starting to feel normal. The only work I got done today was fixing the planters on the new deck and also fixing one of my nail guns.
I also straightened up some in the fermentorium.
Tomorrow should be more productive and better.
The mask wearing continues to be ridiculous. People are sheep.
Things are loosening up, but still weird. Restaurant workers are wearing masks. It is obvious that masks make things worse in restaurants and other customer service positions.

We are living under the tyranny of experts that never ever suffer consequences for being wrong.
New readers (One? Two?) of this blog might like to know where my antipathy toward government comes from. Mostly I recognize government as nothing more than Stationary Bandits. Once you get past National Defense and, say here in the U.S., broad civil rights protection what other really legitimate purpose does the national government have? I can’t think of much. Many people will talk about the money supply. They’ll mention Social Security, etc. They will name their favorite programs. None of them are really necessary. If they didn’t exist life would be different. I’m not saying better, just different.
The way our Constitution contemplated government it would be a group of 50 states doing what they wanted to do only limited by the Constitution. Each state could design a different set of policies. Policies that met the demands and desires of their respective citizens.
I am also, given current events, befuddled by those that think we need more government.
Here is my thought on more government:
We have given our government a supposed monopoly on violence. Government is violence. If you do not obey the government (In most cases… current looting is apparently excepted) eventually violence will befall you. This is what happened to the current Martyr of our government led racial unrest. Don’t expect government to fix what government uses to its advantage.
By the way, the Minneapolis Police policy manual on the use of force specifically allows for the knee on the neck we all have seen (look for paragraph 5-311). I’m fairly confident that cop will get convicted, but I don’t think he would with a fair trial. He’s not going to get a fair trail.
The media where many of my friends and relatives get most of their information that they use to argue with me on this pandemic nonsense is arguably owned by the Chinese and the Pharmaceutical Industry. They will not publish or broadcast information unfavorable to the CCP or vaccines.
Fully 70% of television news revenue comes from Pharmaceutical companies in non-election years.
Disney owns ABC. Disney wants to sell movie tickets in China. They also want to have amusement parks in China. They will do what the CCP tells them to do in order to make those sales. This includes controlling what is on the nightly news broadcast.
The sames is true for Comcast and National Amusements.
Nothing the big media companies broadcast or print is correct or complete.
Look at how the NBA folded in the face of the CCP. Many NBA players clearly have no problem with slave labor as long as it’s over there.
We live in interesting times.
Things are loosening up. We went out to dinner again. Met a sister-in-law and her husband, along with another couple, at Shady’s Burgers. We had desert at Andy’s.
A nice night. But, again, the staff wearing masks is an annoyance.
I got into it with one of the party about the masks making the health situation worse than no masks.
The restaurant staff (we were there for two hours) each wore the same mask the entire time. They are serving food. They are going in the kitchen (grease!) and bringing food out. They touch the masks. They are wearing gloves but I saw not one of them change gloves. It is all a joke.
(Heh… I got distracted again. Didn’t put the post up last night)
This whole pandemic lock down is one of the worst cases of the current living conditions in this country: We are living under the rule of a Nobility that suffers no consequences for being wrong.
The political and cultural leadership is increasingly hereditary and never suffers genuine consequences for being wrong.
And this is why it is tyranny: I can lose my job for saying the wrong thing about current events. Something that normally wouldn’t even be terribly controversial
Things are returning to normal here in Dallas. We went to Vector Brewing for dinner tonight. Everything was good.
I finished the deck. 
It took me the week, with some solid help from the Deuce to get this done. It was in the 90’s and sunny all week. It was kind of brutal out in the sun for the week.
The Vector waitrons were wearing masks. I can’t stand this from the service people. I am not aware of when this will change. I do hope soon.
We are at the end of week 12 of this nonsense of the Winnie the Flu House Arrest.
The riots have been interesting. It is clear that Antifa is a worldwide organization. I know this is not the conventional view, but I don’t hold conventional views.
Nothing new to report. Nothing but news about Antifa causing the protests to turn into violent riots.
Worked on the deck until I was gassed.
Didn’t get this post up yesterday as I was distracted by the orientation flipping on my pictures. This is very distracting and since I have a really shitty hosting company I have no easy fix.
The Deuce and I did more work on the deck.
It is going to look nice.

Oh… I went to a bar again this afternoon. Things are starting to feel somewhat normal.
There is a protest scheduled for today (it might be over by now) at the Northeast Dallas Police Station.
I’ve also done some work on the deck. Helped by the Deuce.
We are about 90% framed. Tomorrow we will level out the sections, attach them together and frame up the last 5ft or so. It will be kind of involved as the pool deck is very uneven.
Today I’m not even upset about the house arrest and business closures (read that as bars) as I’m gassed from the work. Sitting at home having nice beer. Craft, of course.
