The Longest Bridge in the World

It’s a previous post.

Gunfire on the other side of the bridge tonight. Lots of it.

The really disturbing part is that I never hear sirens after one of these shootouts.

It is an ocean of Section 8 housing on the other side of that bridge.

The Texas Abortion Opinion

I think it came down earlier today.

So now you are telling me that the state legislature cannot decide how it might like to regulate businesses and industries within its borders?

I believe, without expressing any opinion about abortion, that this decision is awful. Lefties are always going about regulating commerce, controlling what is otherwise legal activities between consenting adults. Now they are happy when the Supreme Court over rides the, admittedly evil Republican led, Texas Legislature in such an anti-democratic fashion? I hope this case is cited by coal mining companies and oil companies trying to throw off the burden of regulation.

I”m also amused by this case coming right on the heels of the Brexit vote.

People used to complain about stuff like this. Oh, and they did something about it too:

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

One can only hope.

I am very concerned about the world my children will inherit.

Gun Control…

Scott Adams of Dilbert Fame:

So it seems to me that gun control can’t be solved because Democrats are using guns to kill each other – and want it to stop – whereas Republicans are using guns to defend against Democrats.

That quote will probaly make my sister-in-law’s head explode.

My Friends Want To Go On A Picnic

It will end like this:

Not a chance.

My memory of those times is not the trash was left and that they were littering, I think the parks department had people that would clean up.
