For the past couple of days, I held out hope (wished?) that a new opportunity would come my way. This was a real opportunity that would have meant big changes to the current lifestyle. It was a million to one chance.
I didn’t get that one chance, someone else did.
It was as though I had a winning lottery ticket, although this was better as it wasn’t purely a game of chance.
Again, it was fun while it lasted.
