Since I’m on a bit of a kitchen meme today…

I want to point you to this article in The Wall Street Journal by Christopher Shea.  I have read each of the posts he links to, as I am somewhat of an economics nerd and check Marginal Revolution daily.  The kitchen meme, started by Paul Krugman, was picked up on by Tyler Cowen as part of his great stagnation theme.  Megan McArdle writes a post claiming Krugman and Cowen are out of their minds.  The last post linked by Shea, written by Thomas Levenson, of Inverse Square, rips Megan a new one.  I don’t have the animosity toward McArdle that Levenson possesses, but his post is full of awesome.  Go read everything if you are interested in kitchens, economics, the great stagnation and wonder what all the fuss is about.

  • I don’t have animosity towards McArdle herself; it’s her work I find terrifying.

I’m all Exekiel 18:32 about her (w. out the divine mortal stakes, of course). Much better she should turn from her (journalistically) wicked ways than anything else…;)
