Burn the Fucking System to the Ground

Clark is a little angry today:

The older I get, the more I see, the more I read, the more clear it becomes to me that the entire game is rigged. The leftists and the rightists each see half of the fraud. The lefties correctly note that a poor kid caught with cocaine goes to jail, while a Bush can write it off as a youthful mistake (they somehow overlook the fact that their man Barrack hasn’t granted clemency to any one of the people doing federal time for the same felonies he committed). The righties note that government subsidized windmills kill protected eagles with impunity while Joe Sixpack would be deep in the crap if he even picked up a dead eagle from the side of the road.

Maybe you have to suffer the sort of set back that I’ve experienced to feel the same way Clark does. My conventionally successful friends think I’m crazy when I spout off on stuff like Clark does in this post.

You really do need to go read the whole thing. It is very good. Burn the Fucking System to the Ground | Popehat.

The Real Problem with Reinhart/Rogoff

The kids are screwed.

The fiscal gap — the present value difference over the infinite horizon — between all projected spending, including servicing official debt, and all projected taxes, is the label-free measure dictated by economic science of the unpaid bills being left to today’s and tomorrow’s children. It’s $222 trillion, based on the Congressional Budget Office’s latest projections. This true measure of our children’s fiscal abyss, which, by the way, grew $11 trillion over the last year, is almost 20 times the size of official debt held by the public!

Those of us in our 50’s might be screwed too. I don’t quite have a strategy figured out on how to deal with this problem.

Why Are Young Americans Supportive of Obama When His Policies Are So Bad for Them?

I’ve asked the Ace and Deuce about this many times. They tell me that they just aren’t into politics.

I tell them they are eventually going to be into politics good and hard.

Ashley Judd is not running

Darn.

A senate race by Ashley Judd would have produced high comedy.
